About the Role
Dart FM Services Ltd is looking for a reliable and conscientious Part-Time Healthcare Cleaner to join our team at Chagford Health Centre.
This is a 10-hour-per-week position, working 2 hours per day, Monday to Friday. The role offers some flexibility around working times and can be completed either between 6:00am and 8:00am or in the evening after 6:00pm.
As this is a key-holder position, the successful applicant will be trusted to work independently and will be responsible for following the site's security, access and locking/unlocking procedures where required.
You will play an important role in helping us maintain a clean, hygienic and safe healthcare environment for patients, visitors and healthcare staff.
Full site-specific training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean consulting rooms, treatment and clinical areas, offices, toilets, corridors, waiting areas and other allocated areas.
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces in accordance with the site's cleaning procedures.
- Follow healthcare cleaning schedules, colour-coding requirements and infection prevention procedures.
- Carry out cleaning tasks to the standards required by Dart FM Services Ltd and the Health Centre.
- Safely use cleaning chemicals, materials and equipment following COSHH and company procedures.
- Segregate and remove waste in accordance with the Health Centre's waste procedures.
- Replenish soap, paper products and other washroom or hygiene consumables where required.
- Follow the cleaning schedule and complete any required cleaning records.
- Report maintenance issues, damage, hazards or other concerns promptly.
- Follow all site security and key-holder procedures, including securing the premises where applicable.
- Maintain a professional and respectful approach when working within the healthcare environment.
What We Are Looking For
Previous commercial or healthcare cleaning experience would be beneficial, but it is not essential, as full training will be provided.
We are particularly looking for someone who is:
- Reliable and able to work consistently Monday to Friday.
- Comfortable working independently.
- Trustworthy and responsible, particularly due to the key-holder nature of the position.
- Able to follow detailed cleaning procedures and schedules.
- Able to maintain high standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.
- Able to use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely following training.
- Comfortable with the physical requirements of a cleaning role, including standing, bending and carrying cleaning equipment.
- A good communicator who will report any problems or concerns to their supervisor.
