Job Overview
Our client is a successful Engineering company offering a stable and lucrative career in their machine shop. The require a CNC Miller - Setter/Operator, with 3, 4, & 5 axis experience to set and operate CNC machines with Heidenhain and Fanuc control systems.
Shift: Mon - Thurs, 2:30pm - 0:30am - 1/2 hour unpaid lunch break 8:30pm - 9pm
Responsibilities
- Setting and operating 3, 4, & 5 axis CNC mills.
- To hand Deburr and fettle detailed components.
- Quality checking
- Troubleshoot and make adjustments to offset coordinates.
- Be able to read and understand CNC programmes, using machine interface.
- Using their manufacturing system to be able to check material availability, part requirements, part routings and issue
- Operate within a 5s manufacturing cell environment
Requirements
- Thorough experience in multi axis CNC manchine tools milling.
- Must be proactive team player, with a positive can do attitude.
- Must be able to setup and operate CNC mill machines.
- Knowledge of Heidenhain & Fanuc controls.
- Minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
Qualifications
- Engineering apprentice
- City and guilds / NVQs/National Tech Certificate engineering
