Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Runner - Commis to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering food orders efficiently and courteously, ensuring guests receive a seamless dining experience. Responsibilities
- Collect prepared dishes from the kitchen promptly and accurately.
- Deliver food orders to guests in a timely and professional manner, maintaining presentation standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation and plating when required, supporting the culinary team.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to during service.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas, including clearing tables and resetting for new guests.
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing any special requests or concerns courteously.
- Support delivery drivers with order handovers if necessary, ensuring smooth operations.
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or food preparation is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple orders simultaneously.
- Experience as a delivery driver or in courier services is beneficial but not essential.
- Basic cooking or culinary experience can be an asset.
- Friendly demeanour with a focus on guest satisfaction and teamwork.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and positive attitude during busy periods.
