Job Purpose
To provide and co-ordinate metallurgy, gauging and goods inwards activities which assure product quality
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct cross-sectional analysis of welds and brazed joints
- Conduct cleanliness testing
- Creating analysis reports
- Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
- To maintain laboratory equipment to both national and approved standards for calibration and safety.
- To ensure all data, test results, material test reports, certificates of conformance and reports are retained as per customer requirements
- To evaluate metallurgical concerns relative to both products and process and advise on their resolution
- Sign off internal welders to agreed standard
- Audit incoming products and supplier material test reports for compliance to specification
- To attend training to support business changes in product, process, quality tools and laboratory equipment.
- Support a safe working environment, considering company procedures and current legislation

- Time served working in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of process improvement
- Understands of welding operations
- Good communication skills
- Good attention to details
- Able to manage own time
- Able to work unsupervised
- Computer literate
