Duties
- Record and reconcile daily financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Manage accounts payable by processing invoices, verifying expenses, and ensuring timely payments
- Maintain accounts receivable records by issuing invoices and tracking incoming payments
- Prepare financial reports, statements, and summaries to support management decision-making
- Assist with bank reconciliations and audit preparations to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Monitor expense reports and ensure adherence to company policies
- Collaborate with external accountants during audits or financial reviews to provide necessary documentation
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
- Proficiency with popular accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or equivalent systems
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial recordkeeping
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies quickly
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
- Prior experience supporting month-end or year-end closing activities is a plus
