Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Chef to join our culinary team and craft exceptional dining experiences across our two very different pub/restaurant businesses. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and presentation. You will help us to deliver outstanding service while maintaining a vibrant and efficient kitchen environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise in a small & flexible team, manage food production processes, and elevate our hospitality offerings through innovative cooking and team management.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure consistency and excellence.
- Lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment focused on high-quality food production.
- Develop and implement menu items that reflect current culinary trends while maintaining operational feasibility.
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety standards, sanitation protocols, and health regulations at all times.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and oversee food storage to minimize waste and control costs.
- Train staff on proper cooking techniques, food presentation, and serving procedures to uphold service standards.
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to deliver seamless service experiences for guests.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced culinary or hospitality environment.
- Extensive kitchen experience with a strong background in food production and preparation.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively in a high-pressure setting.
- Solid restaurant experience with knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
- Hands-on culinary experience with proficiency in various cooking techniques and menu development.
- Experience in hospitality settings that emphasise excellent service and guest satisfaction.
- Familiarity with food serving procedures, inventory management, and kitchen safety protocols is highly desirable.
Pay: £12.71-£14.50 per hour
