Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bustling bar. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food and beverage service. Duties
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring smooth service during all shifts
- Supervise and motivate staff, including bartenders, servers, and kitchen personnel
- Oversee food production, food preparation, and cooking processes to maintain quality standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
- Organise staff rotas, training sessions, and performance reviews to foster a professional team environment
- Monitor stock levels of beverages, ingredients, and supplies; place orders as necessary
- Develop innovative drink menus and promote special offers to attract customers
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the bar area in accordance with health & safety regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service alongside beverage offerings
Experience
- Proven management experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment, ideally as a Bar Manager or Supervisor
- Extensive knowledge of food production, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
- Experience in serving and food preparation within a busy setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a diverse team
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including stock control and customer service standards
- Background in culinary arts or hospitality management is highly desirable
- Previous barista experience or expertise in coffee preparation is advantageous
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
