IB Murray & Son are looking for a Residential & Commercial Lettings Property Manager, to be based at our expanding Dundee office.
Working to the Senior Property Manager, the position is full-time. For exceptionally well-qualified candidates, part-time will be considered.
Our family office is a well-established small business, providing landlords and tenants with a highly professional, efficient and friendly service across Dundee and Broughty Ferry.
Working as part of small team on Dundee's Perth Road, you will join a business that is growing, with the potential for advancement and professional development.
While we are looking for someone who has experience managing properties we will consider candidates who demonstrate clear potential to learn and develop skills quickly.
Duties
Your duties will be mainly tenant and landlord focused. You will manage a portfolio of residential and commercial properties, with responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Handling calls/emails/website enquiries for properties under management
- Carrying out end-of-tenancy and mid-term inspections
- Providing timely, evidenced feedback to landlords
- Conducting viewings and maintaining inventories
- Carrying out tenancy application processes, organising viewings, preparing leases
- Organising property repairs and renewals
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will:
- Have proven experience within a property or lettings role.
- Have a practical understanding of SME Professional and other on-line applications to complete the following tasks: advertising properties and arranging viewings, organising repair work, allocating rental payments and paying invoices, reconciling payments to every landlord on an agreed schedule, ensuring safety certificates and compliance requirements are in-date. Be comfortable using Microsoft applications.
- Have a full UK driving licence with access to a car that they can use for work purposes. Expenses will be covered. Car parking is provided.
- Be able to manage their time effectively and be well organised; smart and professional.
- Be a team player, yet also comfortable/confident working on their own, using initiative and identifying issues to be addressed.
- Be focused on providing excellent customer service.
- Live within easy commuting distance of Dundee.
