About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Solar PV & Battery Storage Electrician to join our dynamic renewable energy team, playing a key role in delivering high-quality retrofit work across social housing communities. We're recruiting for our Tunbridge Wells, Yeovil, and Bournemouth locations, so please specify your preferred base when applying.
In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar PV systems and battery storage solutions, along with internal fan installations and door undercut works as part of ventilation compliance packages, with the autonomy to self-certify your own electrical work. Your expertise will help drive the transition to clean energy by ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality electrical installations, on projects that make a genuine positive impact on the environment while advancing your career in the renewable energy sector.

Pro-Fit Green Energy Limited is Flexi-Orb accredited and HIES registered, and all work is carried out to MCS standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install residential solar PV systems to current industry standards and MCS requirements
- Install and commission battery storage systems in line with MCS and manufacturer requirements
- Install and commission internal extractor/ventilation fans as part of retrofit packages
- Carry out door undercuts to meet ventilation compliance requirements
- Complete electrical installation work in line with BS 7671 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations)
- Self-certify and sign off minor electrical installation works under NICEIC or NAPIT competent person schemes
- Liaise with site supervisors and project coordinators to ensure work is completed to programme
- Maintain accurate installation records, certification, and compliance documentation
- Work safely and in accordance with site health & safety requirements at all times
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) certification
- Current registration with NICEIC or NAPIT, with the ability to self-certify minor electrical works
- Minimum 2 years' proven post-qualification experience, with verifiable references
- Proven experience installing residential solar PV systems
- City & Guilds 2923 Battery Storage (EESS) or equivalent, with proven battery storage installation experience
- Proven experience installing to MCS standards (solar PV and battery storage)
- Experience with domestic ventilation works, including fan installation and door undercuts
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable
- Experience working within social housing or retrofit programmes (e.g. ECO, LAD, HUG funded works)

Pay: £40,000.00-£52,000.00 per year
