Scrub Daddy UK is the distributor of the Scrub Daddy brand in the UK and EU. We currently distribute to most major national retailers and wholesalers in the UK and have an ever-growing presence in Europe. We are looking for an experienced, commercially minded Inbound Supply Chain Manager to take end-to-end ownership of our inbound supply chain across the UK and EU.
The Role
You will own the supply chain from purchase order through to finished, saleable stock – leading three teams: Goods In, Procurement, and Assembly & Inventory. The role requires a holistic overview of the supply chain, with responsibility for the associated planning, procurement, and assembly decisions, and for regular reporting internally to the Head of Operations and the COO and externally to our parent company, Scrub Daddy Inc.
You will oversee the flow of product in transit from our manufacturing partners in Vietnam, Japan, and China into Rotterdam and Southampton, ensure procurement keeps pace with demand, and oversee the conversion of stock through assembly so it is ready to meet customer requirements in both the UK and EU.
You will own the company’s inventory position and be accountable for the accuracy and integrity of stock figures held within company systems, ensuring the business has the right stock and materials available in the right quantities and at the right time – balancing availability against excess stock.
What You’ll Be DoingGoods In & Inbound Logistics (UK & EU)
- Take ownership of the Goods In team and its day-to-day performance
- Maintain oversight of inbound product flows from Vietnam, Japan, and China into Rotterdam and Southampton – including freight forwarder relationships, container scheduling, and shipment tracking – managed day-to-day by the Goods In team, directing as appropriate
- Ensure customs clearance, duty, and import documentation for UK and EU entry points are handled correctly by the Goods In team
- Maintain visibility of lead times, ETAs, and landed costs, and direct the resolution of delays or exceptions in transit
- Monitor incoming supply against requirements and identify potential shortages or delays early, coordinating corrective action
- Coordinate with the Warehouse Manager (UK) and 3PL facilities (EU) so receipts and putaway align with intake schedules
Supply Planning & Procurement
- Take ownership of Procurement, line managing and providing direction to the Procurement Coordinator
- Determine future stock and material requirements using current inventory, forecasts, customer demand, assembly requirements, lead times, and other relevant information – deciding what stock is required, how much, and when it needs to be available
- Ensure sufficient finished goods, components, packaging, and materials are purchased to support business requirements, balancing the risk of shortages against excess inventory
- Set purchasing requirements and priorities, and oversee purchase order activity to ensure orders are placed within appropriate timescales
- Oversee supplier communication, purchase order management, and order follow-up, supporting the team with supplier issues, shortages, delays, and sourcing requirements
- Provide input and direction on supplier relationships, pricing, MOQs, terms, and lead times across our manufacturing partners – managed day-to-day by Procurement – and review supplier and purchasing performance
- Maintain forward visibility of stock availability and expected future requirements, working in close partnership with Sales and their forecasts to adjust supply plans as demand changes
- Ensure purchasing information and records are accurately maintained
- Retain overall accountability for ensuring required stock and materials are ordered and available when needed
Inventory Management & Ownership (UK & EU)
- Hold overall ownership and accountability for inventory across UK and EU operations, ensuring stock figures within company systems are accurate, reliable, and appropriately maintained
- Maintain visibility of finished goods, components, packaging, work in progress, and stock allocated for assembly

- Ensure stock discrepancies are investigated, root causes identified, and corrective actions completed, overseeing and controlling stock adjustments
- Plan and coordinate cycle counts, periodic stock takes, and year-end stock takes, ensuring variances are investigated and resolved
- Ensure stock transactions relating to receipts, transfers, assemblies, adjustments, and other movements are accurately reflected within systems

- Monitor the commercial aspects of the assembly process, including unit costings and P&L
- Manage relationships with external co-packers and 3PLs
- Oversee assembly and conversion of stock to meet operational requirements, adjusting plans dynamically in response to changes in demand or priorities
- Ensure assembly requirements are raised accurately with clear quantities, priorities, and required-by dates, maintaining visibility of planned, outstanding, and completed assemblies
- Ensure sufficient components and materials are available to support required assemblies, identifying stock or component shortages that could prevent requirements from being met
- Ensure completed assemblies and related stock movements are correctly reflected within inventory systems
- Determine labour requirements based on production needs and oversee workforce planning for assembly
- Maintain accurate records of assembly timings across all products, ensuring timings are consistently recorded on the warehouse floor
