Hours: Full time (38.75 hours per week)

About the role
We’re looking for a curious, organised and commercially minded Ecommerce Assistant to help bring our website to life — creating SEO-friendly content, supporting day-to-day website activity, and playing a hands-on role in improving the online customer experience.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with some ecommerce, content or digital experience who wants to learn more, build confidence, and develop practical skills across SEO, Shopify, website administration, testing and development support. Working closely with our Ecommerce, Marketing and Development teams, you’ll help keep our website accurate, engaging and performing at its best, with guidance and training from the Ecommerce Development Manager.
About us
The Rider Firm is a direct-to-consumer cycling business best known for Hunt Bike Wheels. From our headquarters in West Sussex, with operations in the USA and Germany, we design and sell high-performance, aftermarket bicycle wheels to riders around the world. We’re passionate about product, performance and customer experience — and our website is central to how riders discover, understand and choose our products.
Key Responsibilities
· Create, edit and upload engaging SEO-friendly website content, including product pages, blogs and landing pages.
· Use clear, compelling copy to help improve engagement, organic visibility and conversion.
· Support day-to-day website administration in Shopify, helping to publish, update and maintain accurate content.
· Help manage development tickets, liaising with the development team to keep website improvements moving.
· Test new features, fixes and website changes before they go live, spotting issues and supporting a smooth launch.
· Work with the Rider Experience team to identify and resolve everyday website queries that affect the customer journey.
· Bring fresh ideas and contribute to the continuous improvement of our ecommerce experience.
What we’re looking for:
· Some experience in ecommerce, digital content, website administration, copywriting or a similar online role.
· Strong writing and editing skills, with an eye for clear, accurate and persuasive content.
· A working understanding of SEO principles and an interest in learning how content can drive traffic and sales.
· Familiarity with web platforms such as Shopify, or the confidence to learn new systems quickly.
· Comfortable working with different teams, following guidance and keeping tasks moving.
· Curious, adaptable and keen to build hands-on skills in website administration, testing and development support.
· Organised and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Why work for The Rider Firm?
· A hands-on ecommerce role where you can grow your skills, learn from experienced colleagues and see the impact of your work online.
· Exposure to international ecommerce, working with performance cycling products used by passionate riders around the world.
· A friendly, flexible culture where ideas, curiosity and continuous improvement are encouraged.
· Competitive salary and benefits, staff discounts and regular team socials.
We believe in building diverse and inclusive teams. We encourage applicants from all backgrounds and experiences, including those from underrepresented groups, to apply for this role.
We offer flexibility in working hours and are happy to consider any reasonable adjustments that may support you in the role.
If you’re commercially curious, excited by ecommerce, and ready to develop your digital skills with a performance cycling brand that sells to riders around the world, we’d love to hear from you. To apply, please email your CV with a covering letter to [email protected]
