The Senior Key Account Manager develops and manages relationships with key cosmetics and beauty brand customers. The role focuses on identifying growth opportunities, leading commercial negotiations, coordinating packaging development projects, and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction. The individual acts as the primary commercial interface between clients and internal teams including design, engineering, sourcing, operations, quality, and supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Business Development
- Manage a portfolio of strategic accounts.
- Develop account plans to achieve sales growth, margin targets, and customer retention.
- Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and target brands.
- Build relationships with procurement, marketing, and executive stakeholders.
- Conduct regular business reviews with customers.
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Meet or exceed annual sales and profitability targets.
- Prepare and present commercial proposals, quotations, and pricing strategies.
- Lead contract negotiations and commercial agreements.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Develop pipeline opportunities for new packaging projects and product launches.
Project & Product Development Management
- Coordinate new development projects from concept through commercialisation.
- Collaborate with design, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Support customers with packaging innovation and technical solutions.
- Manage timelines, forecasts, and launch schedules.
Customer Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key customers.
- Resolve commercial, operational, and quality-related issues.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term partnership.
- Anticipate customer needs and proactively recommend solutions.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Work closely with:

- Lead internal account review meetings and customer strategy discussions.
- Support forecasting and production planning activities.
- Interacting with the NBD in China, Germany, NA and the UK internal teams to manage customer projects from order placements, development, manufacture, shipment and delivery of goods, making sure new projects are delivered in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Packaging Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.
- MBA preferred.
Experience
- 7-12+ years of B2B sales or account management experience.
- 5+ years managing key accounts in:
- Cosmetics packaging
- Beauty packaging
- Personal care packaging
- Luxury packaging
- Contract manufacturing or related industries
- Experience working with global beauty brands is highly desirable.
