Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee-based beverages and providing excellent customer service. Duties:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee-based beverages, such as lattes, cappuccinos, and espressos as well as frappes & smoothies
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Operate coffee brewing equipment, such as espresso machines and grinders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Ensure that all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed
- Assist with food preparation as needed
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving any issues or complaints
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
- Strong time management skills to ensure efficient service during busy periods
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
