US Digital Business Development Manager
Company: Credit Boxed Inc.
Location: Remote, UK-based, with travel to Manchester
Salary: £40,000 per annum plus performance-related bonus
Hours: 37 hours per week, including working patterns aligned with the US market
About Credit Boxed
Credit Boxed Inc. is a growing US-focused digital finance business connecting consumers, affiliates, brokers and financial providers through technology-led customer acquisition and distribution platforms.
We are looking for a commercially driven US Digital Business Development Manager to grow our network of affiliate, lender and broker relationships. This is a hands-on, performance-led position combining new business development, commercial partnerships and ongoing relationship management.
The Role
The primary focus of the role is to identify, secure and develop new commercial opportunities across the US consumer finance market.
You will build relationships with affiliates capable of supplying quality consumer traffic, while also expanding our network of lenders, brokers and other distribution partners. You will take ownership of opportunities from initial contact and commercial negotiation through to integration, launch and ongoing performance.
The role will work closely with our operational and technical teams to ensure new partners are successfully integrated into our ping-tree and wider platform. Although technical support will be available, you will be expected to understand how digital lead generation, ping trees and performance-based partnerships operate.
This is not purely an account-management position. Success will be measured through new partners launched, revenue generated, traffic quality, conversion performance and the commercial growth of Credit Boxed.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and approach potential US affiliates, publishers, brokers, lenders and financial service partners.
- Develop a strong pipeline of new commercial opportunities.
- Secure new sources of high-quality consumer traffic.
- Expand the number and range of lenders and brokers available across our platform.
- Negotiate commercial terms, including CPL, CPA, revenue-share and other performance-based arrangements.
- Manage the full partner journey from initial contact through contracting, integration, testing and launch.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing affiliates, lenders and brokers.
- Monitor partner performance, traffic quality, conversion rates, acceptance rates and revenue.
- Work with the ping-tree and operations team to improve routing, coverage, buyer competition and overall yield.
- Identify gaps within the current lender and broker panel and source appropriate partners.
- Resolve commercial or operational issues quickly to protect revenue and partner relationships.
- Maintain accurate records of conversations, opportunities, agreed actions and commercial terms.
- Provide clear weekly reporting against agreed KPIs.
- Represent Credit Boxed professionally in partner meetings, industry events and commercial discussions.
- Keep up to date with developments in the US consumer-finance, affiliate-marketing and lead-generation markets.
Performance and KPIs
The role will be managed against clear, agreed commercial KPIs, which are expected to include:
- Number of qualified new partner opportunities created.
- New affiliates, lenders and brokers contracted.
- Number of partners successfully integrated and launched.
- Revenue and gross profit generated.
- Growth in quality traffic volumes.
- Improvements in conversion, acceptance and buyer coverage.
- Partner retention and account growth.
- Speed from initial engagement to live integration.
- Accuracy and consistency of pipeline and performance reporting.
The first 90 days will focus on building the US pipeline, strengthening existing relationships and delivering new live partnerships. A performance-related bonus structure will apply following the successful completion of the initial 90-day period.
Skills and Experience
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Proven experience in digital business development, partnerships, affiliate management or performance marketing.
- A strong commercial and results-focused approach.
- Experience working with affiliates, lead generators, lenders, brokers or financial service providers.
- A good understanding of online customer acquisition and performance-based commercial models.
- The confidence to conduct outreach, lead meetings and negotiate commercial terms.
- Strong relationship-management and communication skills.
- The ability to understand and analyse commercial performance data.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and create opportunities.
- Excellent organisation, follow-up and pipeline-management skills.
- The ability to work effectively with commercial, operational and technical colleagues.
- Flexibility to work hours that support US partners and business opportunities.
Experience within US consumer finance, fintech, credit, lending, ping trees or lead distribution would be particularly valuable.
Working Arrangements
This is a UK-based remote position involving 37 working hours per week. As the role is focused on the US market, working hours will need to accommodate US business hours and may differ from a standard UK working pattern.
Attendance at our Manchester office will ordinarily be required once per quarter, with additional monthly visits where there is a clear business need. Agreed business travel to Manchester will be paid for by the company.
What We Offer
- Starting salary of £40,000 per annum.
- Performance-related bonus following the initial 90-day period.
- The opportunity to take commercial ownership of a growing US operation.
- A remote and flexible working arrangement.
- Direct access to senior decision-makers.
- The opportunity to influence partner strategy, processes and future growth.
- Scope for the position to develop into a broader Group business-development role as the US operation grows.
Pay: £38,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
Experience:
- Business development: 2 years (required)
Work Location: In person
