Job Overview
We are looking for a compassionate Pet Sitter and Pet Sitter to provide exceptional care for pets in their own homes. As a Pet Sitter and Dog Walker, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of pets while their owners are away. This role requires a love for animals, strong customer service skills, and the ability to handle various tasks related to animal care.
Duties
- Attend to the daily needs of pets, including feeding, walking, and administering medication as required.
- Provide companionship and playtime to ensure pets remain happy and engaged.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for the pets, including cleaning litter boxes and pet bedding.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' behaviour and any concerns that may arise during visits.
- Handle heavy lifting when necessary, such as moving pet supplies or assisting larger animals.
- Keep accurate records of pet care activities and report any unusual behaviour or health issues to the owner.
What we are looking for:
- A genuine love for animals and experience in animal care is essential.
- Strong customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners.
- Flexibility in scheduling is important, as pet sitting may require visits at various times throughout the day or evening.
- Experience with pet care, especially with reactive dogs
- Must be able to do overnight stays
- Must own a car and feel comfortable with lone working
- Preferable to be based in the city centre but not limited too.
Our hourly rate changes depending on the service. We take a 23% commission to cover admin and your insurance. This job can be paired with part time work or WFH jobs.
