Job Summary
Due to expansion and building a new surgery, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental team Monday to Thursday with a late evening on a Thursday.
In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, assist dentists during procedures, and ensure the smooth operation of the dental practice. Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including examinations, fillings, extractions, and orthodontics
- Provide excellent patient care by offering reassurance, explaining treatments, and managing patient comfort throughout appointments
- Take and develop dental X-rays as required, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis
- Manage patient records accurately using IT systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations
- Support patients with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and answering queries with clear communication skills
- Maintain stock levels of dental supplies and order materials as needed to ensure operational efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience in patient care within a healthcare or dental setting is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and external providers
- Knowledge of nursing principles combined with a caring attitude towards patients’ needs
- Basic IT skills to handle electronic health records and practice management software
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team while maintaining professionalism at all times
