About Industry Kitchen
Industry Kitchen is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Café Supervisor to help lead our front-of-house team. If you're passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, leading by example, and creating a welcoming café environment, we'd love to hear from you.
Working closely with the Café Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the café while motivating the team to deliver outstanding food, coffee and service standards. Café supervisors commonly oversee daily operations, staff supervision, stock control and food safety compliance while maintaining excellent customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily operation of the café and lead the team during shifts.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve customer queries professionally.
- Support and motivate team members to achieve high performance.
- Train new employees and maintain service standards.
- Prepare barista-quality coffees and serve food to a high standard.
- Manage opening and closing procedures, including cash handling.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders and minimise waste.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene, HACCP and health & safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming café environment.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a café, coffee shop or hospitality supervisory role.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Passion for customer service and quality food and drink.
- Barista experience is desirable.
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (preferred).
