Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out assembly tasks in fabrication of cable products.
Duties
- Set up, operate, and monitor manufacturing machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
- Follow Manufacturing Process instructions accurately produce components.
- Handle materials efficiently, including loading, unloading, and organising raw materials and finished products.
- Utilise hand tools to perform assembly, adjustments, or repairs to components.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify potential issues and perform basic maintenance or escalate repairs accordingly.
- Maintain detailed records of production activities and quality checks.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations within the workshop environment.
Experience
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control purposes.
- Used to working with small delicate parts or heavy lifting for the different manufacturing areas.
- Familiarity with assembly processes is advantageous.
This role requires a proactive approach with strong organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should demonstrate practical skills and good hand eye coordination.
Pay: From £13.20 per hour
