Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Female Activities Co-ordinator to enhance the quality of life for residents in our home. The successful candidate will organise and facilitate engaging activities tailored to the needs and interests of our residents, with a particular focus on each individual. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults by promoting social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall wellbeing.
Duties
- Develop and implement a diverse programme of activities that cater to residents’ interests, abilities, and care requirements.
- Organise group activities, outings, and individualised programmes that promote socialisation and cognitive engagement.
- Collaborate with care staff to assess residents’ needs and preferences, ensuring activities are suitable and inclusive.
- Maintain accurate records of participation and residents’ responses to activities for care planning purposes.
- Foster a warm, friendly environment that encourages residents to participate actively in daily life.
- Assist with organising special events and celebrations within the home.
- Communicate effectively with residents and staff to promote understanding of activity programmes and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Experience working within vulnerable women.
- Knowledge of mental health care principles is essential.
- Previous experience in caregiving or activity coordination within a care home setting is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with vulnerable women older adults experiencing various levels of cognitive ability.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in enhancing residents’ quality of life through meaningful activities.
- Organised approach with strong planning skills to manage multiple programmes simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing exceptional person-centred care. Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
