Experienced Kitchen Team Member – Fish & Chip Shop with Kebab Menu Overview
We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Team Member to join our busy and well-established fish and chip shop. We are particularly looking for someone with previous kebab shop experience who is confident preparing kebabs, grilled meats, and takeaway food while also supporting the preparation and cooking of our fish and chip menu.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook kebabs, grilled meats, wraps, burgers, fish, chips, and other menu items to a consistently high standard.
- Operate kebab machines, grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Prepare fresh salads, sauces, and other ingredients, ensuring quality and freshness at all times.
- Manage food preparation, portion control, and service during busy periods.
- Ensure all food is presented attractively and served promptly.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen, following all food safety and hygiene procedures.
- Monitor stock levels, restock supplies, and assist with deliveries when required.
- Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service and excellent customer satisfaction.
- Represent the business with professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a kebab shop or preparing kebab takeaway food is essential.
- Experience using kebab machines, grills, and commercial fryers.
- Previous experience in a fish and chip shop or takeaway kitchen is desirable but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen best practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining speed, consistency, and quality.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and busy trading periods.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently when required.
- A positive attitude and a passion for producing great food and delivering excellent customer service.
