Fox Precision Tooling designs and builds bespoke automation systems, robotic cells, end-of-arm tooling (EOAT), conveyors, and special-purpose machinery for some of the world's leading manufacturers.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team and help build innovative automation solutions from concept through to installation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Building bespoke automation machinery and robotic systems.
- Assembly of precision mechanical components, conveyors, EOAT and machine structures.
- Pneumatic system installation and testing.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and 3D CAD models.
- Working alongside design, controls and project engineers.
- Assisting with machine testing, commissioning and customer FATs.
- Occasional UK and international travel for installations and support.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Mechanical fitting or machinery assembly experience.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
- Automation or special-purpose machinery experience.
- Robotics experience.
- Pneumatic assembly experience.
- Electrical awareness.
- Previous experience working within manufacturing or automation environments.
