Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of school buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Conduct regular security checks, monitor CCTV systems, and manage access points to safeguard the premises.
- Carry out cleaning duties in designated areas to uphold high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests or emergencies, coordinating repairs or contacting external contractors as needed.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including fire drills, alarm testing, and hazard assessments.
- Manage key control systems, record keeping for maintenance activities, and report any issues or incidents accurately.
- Support school events by setting up facilities or assisting with logistical arrangements when required.
Experience
- Previous experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a similar role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to school environments.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good physical stamina for lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and performing routine manual tasks.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with staff members and external service providers.
