Overview
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricators to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and care. Your expertise will contribute to creating high-quality products that meet strict safety and quality standards. Duties
- Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques to join metal parts accurately and efficiently
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other materials
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure precise fabrication
- Operate various machinery and tools safely while adhering to all safety protocols
- Conduct quality inspections on welded joints and fabricated components to ensure compliance with standards
- Assist in the assembly of finished products, ensuring proper fit, finish, and functionality
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use
Experience
- Proven experience in TIG, MIG welding, with a strong understanding of other welding techniques
- Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Competent in one or more welding processes: MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), MMA/Stick (SMAW)
- Hands-on experience with fabrication processes involving sheet metal and mechanical assembly
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment in a manufacturing setting
- Mechanical knowledge including basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Familiarity with reading technical drawings or blueprints is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and commitment to producing high-quality work
Desireables
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication and finishing
- Fabrication/plating experience alongside welding
- Coded welding tickets for pressure vessels, structural steel, or pipework
- Forklift or overhead crane licence
- Experience with robotic/automated welding equipment
