Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Motor Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of motorised equipment and vehicles. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and machinery to identify faults or issues.
- Interpret technical schematics and mechanical diagrams to facilitate repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment.
- Perform assembly and disassembly of mechanical parts during repair processes.
- Carry out routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance of vehicles and equipment.
- Weld components as necessary to restore structural integrity or modify parts.
- Assist with equipment repair, including heavy lifting and manoeuvring of large parts or machinery.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts utilised.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair work clearly and professionally.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, adhering to best practices at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in vehicle or machinery repair, with a solid understanding of mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in reading technical schematics and mechanical diagrams.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in demanding environments.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and diagnostics.
- Good communication skills for customer interactions and team collaboration.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive or mechanical engineering are preferred but not essential.

Pay: £20.00-£26.00 per hour
