About the job.
We are looking for an experienced commercial leader to take ownership of a high-profile portfolio of major infrastructure programmes, playing a pivotal role in shaping the commercial approach for new contracts as part of RIS 3 while overseeing a programme of schemes already in delivery. Leading a team of eight and managing a broad network of consultants, you will provide strategic direction, embed commercial best practice, and ensure lessons learned from previous contracts are applied to deliver improved outcomes.
This role can be based from any of our UK offices.
- Using experience and professional knowledge to advise on identified needs, priorities and potential threats to regional or scheme success, defining and communicating commercial mitigation to achieve continually improving delivery.
- Using experience and professional knowledge to influence a regional or schemes strategy.
- Translating objectives from the business plan to meet the region’s or scheme’s goals and objectives.
- Key team and stakeholder communication, to and from the commercial and procurement directorate, supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Develop positive commercial relationships with external stakeholders to a scheme.
- Administer, when required, the commercial management of PFI, Financial and Legal support to a scheme.
About you.
- Relevant professional qualification, RICS, ICE or equivalent
- Knowledge of NEC forms of contract and experience of tendering and procurement using NEC forms of contract
- Experience and professional knowledge to lead a commercial delivery team to routinely deliver a consistent and high-quality approach to commercial and procurement.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience of advocating Health, Safety and Wellbeing of staff and partners.

External candidates will be offered a starting salary at the lower end of the pay scale, while current employees will be appointed in accordance with our established pay policy.
