Job Summary
Reporting to the Commercial Director we are looking for an experienced Aluminium window and door processor to provide all processing functions of Customers’ orders/quotations and an ability to talk through our range offering providing technical support to our customers, within Company guidelines and SLA.
Duties will include checking and processing orders/quotes to ensure accuracy of data input, seeking specification sign off quickly and efficiently and liaising with the internal/production departments to verify confirmed dates are in line with Customers expectations.
Duties
- Check all orders received to ensure that they provide the information required to enable processing to take place.
- Gain full product range knowledge and understand all technical and order processes.
- Provide technical assistance and answers on our Aluminium product offering.
- Review tender/specification documents and liaise with customers, conduct a take-off drawing exercise to enable the processing of orders and quotations.
- Contact customers, where necessary, with any queries relating to quotations. Prepare quotations and seek written confirmation from customers if there are any changes to the original order/quotation. (Orders mean Windows, Doors, Bifolds, Patios and Commercial Aluminium ranges).
- Ensure all customer orders are dated in line with requirements.
- Check that all the information required to facilitate planning & scheduling is to hand, e.g., quantities, the correct number of pages, production and due date required.
- Effectively schedule a controlled flow of orders through for Purchasing, & Production.
- Ensure all orders irrelevant of due date are processed within 24 hrs.
- Answer general enquiries within 24 hours.
- Provide phone help and support to internal and external customers..
- Answer all incoming calls within 3 rings.
- General administrative duties appropriate to the role.

Experience
- Must be experienced in Aluminium processing and technically capable of understanding product limitations.

- Able to understand technical requirements and process effectively and accurately.
- Team Player.
- Computer Literate.
- Customer service can do attitude.
- Must be willing to undertake any training requirements commensurate to the post on or off site.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Previous order processing experience within the Fenestration industry is a must.
- Experience with Smart Systems Aluminium desirable but not essential.
- Comprehension of Windows Designer software desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
- Technically capable of understanding customer surveys and requirements.
