Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled, EXPERIENCED and detail-oriented Silicone Operative to join our family run business on a Sub-Contractor basis.
The successful applicant will also hold a full, clean UK driving licence.
In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality silicone sealants and adhesives to a variety of surfaces and structures, ensuring durability, weatherproofing, and aesthetic finish.
We are a small yet extremely busy team. The availability to work on Saturdays will also be offered at time and a half per hour pay.
Please do not apply if you cannot apply silicone neatly and skilfully- we are looking for an experienced, skilled operative only., with at least 2 years of silicone application experience.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure optimal adhesion of silicone products
- Apply silicone sealants and adhesives accurately across diverse applications such as roofing, plumbing, masonry, and construction joints
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and install silicone components- working on large Construction Projects for Clients such as Kier Construction and Bam Construction.
- Quality checks throughout the application will be carried out by the Director process to maintain high standards of workmanship
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials responsibly
- Qualifications:
- Proven experience in construction trades such as roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, or masonry
- Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., caulking guns, cutters) and power tools (e.g., drills, grinders)
- Knowledge of fabrication techniques and construction painting practices is preferred
- Ability to read technical instructions and follow safety protocols diligently
- Experience working with silicone sealants in demanding environments is highly desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
