Job Overview
This role has day to day technical operational support responsibility, managing new site installs, de-commissioning sites, fixing faults for live sites and managing the stock relating to these aspects.
Main duties include:
- Manage the successful completion of projects overseeing camera installations, signage excluding any electrical works working to any H&S company directives and legislations and providing RAMs where necessary.
- Install and commission ANPR camera systems to a high standard
- Carry out site surveys and assess optimal camera placement
- Configure networking components including IP addresses and connectivity
- Perform routine maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs
- Ensure installations comply with health & safety regulations
- Provide basic training to clients on system use
- Complete documentation and reports for each installation
- Responsible for close relationships with on-site client representatives as needed.
- Liaising with line manages on any issues that occur as and when they arise.
- Managing any external 3 party relationships that are core to Service Delivery and the associated KPI’s.
- Responsible for keeping the service delivery asset register up to date centrally after any installs or Decommission
- Implementing cost saving and process alignment where needed.
- Ensure all site costing sheets are completed with accuracy and submitted as part of the installation process.
- Staying knowledgeable on all aspects of technical operations for Britannia Parking.
- Responsible for maintaining the allocated company vehicles and adhering to all process and rules outlined in the Company Handbook and subsequent communication.
- Meeting pre-determined KPI’s
- Working closely with head office and sales team to deliver the best install possible with the lowest cost to operate.
- Hold weekly meetings with contracts manager and head office team to ensure timely installs and repairs to any equipment.
- Work from survey document and site acquisition forms to ensure all equipment and signage is ordered and accessible in time for installation on the agreed date.
Skills & experience required
- Proven experience installing CCTV or ANPR systems
- Strong understanding of networking (IP, routers, switches)
- Ability to work at height and outdoors in various conditions
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Must be an approved electrician with associated qualifications
- Inspection and test qualification also required.
- Previous experience with parking systems, automated systems, or related hardware maintenance is desirable
- Communication Skills: Good communication skills with people at all levels
- Ability to work independently
- Full, valid UK driving licence (with no more than 6 penalty points for insurance purposes)
As driving is a substantial part of this role we will carry out comprehensive drivers checks and ensure these meet our insurance provider’s requirements. To be considered for the role applicants must;
- Be aged 21 or over
- Have a full UK Driver’s License with no more than 6 penalty points
- Not have any motoring convictions resulting in disqualification within the last 5 years
