G.R.C Maintenance Ltd is a growing property maintenance and construction company working with local authorities, housing associations and commercial clients across London and the South East.
We undertake a wide range of planned maintenance projects alongside a 24/7 Dangerous Structures emergency response service, making buildings and public areas safe following incidents such as storm damage, vehicle strikes and structural failures.
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking individual to join our team as a 7.5T HGV Driver / Property Maintenance Operative.
The Role
Based from our yard in Epping, you will travel to sites across Barnet and North London, transporting materials, tools and equipment whilst assisting our operatives with planned maintenance and emergency response works.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same.
Duties include:
- Driving and operating a 7.5T HGV safely and professionally.
- Loading, securing and unloading materials, plant and equipment.
- Supporting roofing, fencing, boarding-up, temporary works and general property & Commercial maintenance.
- Assisting with emergency Dangerous Structures call-outs.
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring the vehicle is kept clean and roadworthy.
- Maintaining tools, equipment and site safety standards.
- Working as part of a professional and responsive team.
About You
Essential:
- Full UK Driving Licence with C1 (7.5T) entitlement.
- Good knowledge of London and surrounding areas.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
Desirable:
- CSCS Card.
- Experience within construction, property maintenance or roofing.
- Experience operating small plant or towing trailers.
- First Aid at Work qualification.
- HIAB licence (advantageous but not essential).
Emergency Call-Out
As part of this role, you will join our Dangerous Structures emergency response rota.
This is a 24/7 standby service with additional payment for every call-out attended. Overtime and enhanced rates apply for out-of-hours, weekend and bank holiday emergency works.
