Anwen Construction are looking for a Ground Worker/Labourer to join their team. In order to gain an opportunity to interview with this company, you will be required to complete short course at Middlesbrough College where upon completion you will be offered a guaranteed interview Anwen Construction.
Groundworks Academy Course Details:
This course is a 4 week program where 2 weeks are completed at Middlesbrough College and 2 weeks are completed at MP Plant Training. Please note that this course is fully funded.
Upon completion of the course you will gain the following:
- L1 Certificate in Construction Skills
- Cabe Avoidance - CAT and Gentry Training
- Construction Plant Machinery Ride on Roller
- NPORS Excavation Marshall Banks Person and NPORS Vehicle Marshall
- NPORS Forward and Rear Tipping Dumper

Role Details:
- Site Preparation & Clearance
- Clearing sites of debris, vegetation, and topsoil
- Levelling and preparing ground for construction works
- Foundations & Substructure
- Excavating trenches and carrying out piling and underpinning works
- Preparing and installing foundations including raft, strip, and ring beam foundations
- Installing floor constructions such as beam and block
- Drainage & Utilities
- Installing plot drainage, pipework, attenuation tanks, and service connections
- Concrete Works
- Pouring, finishing, and curing concrete
- Carrying out brickwork and blockwork for sub-structure elements
- External & Hard Landscaping
- Laying kerbs, pathways, driveways, and completing external works
- Retaining Structures
- Constructing retaining walls and associated groundwork elements
- Plant & Machinery Operation
- Safely operating excavators, dumpers, and other plant machinery (where qualified)
- Health & Safety
- Working in accordance with site-specific risk assessments and method statements
- Maintaining high health and safety standards at all times
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
