Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment for young children, supporting their developmental milestones through engaging activities and personalised care. Duties
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
- Supervise and support children during play, learning, and mealtime routines
- Maintain a safe and hygienic environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
- Monitor and record children's progress, behaviour, and developmental milestones
- Assist with the organisation of daily routines and special events within the nursery or childcare setting
- Support colleagues in managing classroom behaviour and implementing curriculum plans
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to early childhood education and childcare standards
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting
- Strong management and leadership abilities to oversee daily activities and team coordination
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages
- Ability to create engaging learning environments that stimulate curiosity and learning
- Organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending off-site activities
- Compassionate approach with a genuine passion for supporting young children's growth and learning
