We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and hardworking Customer Service Assistant to join our team. This is a varied role that combines excellent customer service with retail duties and basic accounts administration. Key Responsibilities
- Providing outstanding customer service and assisting customers with their enquiries.
- Processing sales transactions accurately using the till/POS system.
- Replenishing stock and ensuring shelves are well presented and fully stocked.
- Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe shop environment.
- Handling account payments and accurately charging purchases to customer accounts.
- Assisting with basic accounts administration and maintaining accurate records.
- Receiving and checking deliveries.
- Supporting colleagues with the day-to-day running of the store.
- Following company procedures for cash handling, health and safety, and customer service.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Previous retail or customer service experience (preferred but not essential).
- Basic knowledge of account payments and charging goods or services to customer accounts.
- Good numeracy and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
Working Hours
We are looking for someone who can offer flexibility across our shop opening hours of 8:00 am to 7:00 pm. The role is approximately 30-40 hours per week, worked over five days, with shifts of around 6-8 hours.
The successful candidate will also be required to work one Saturday in every three as part of the normal rota.
