Caterkwik are one of the UK`s leading suppliers of catering & laundry equipment.
We currently have a full time vacancy for a Trainee Service Engineer to look after our thousands of customers around the UK. Initially the successful applicant will be assisting in our warehouse, delivering equipment then moving on to completing basic installations, eventually progressing to the servicing, maintaining and repairing of equipment. Training will begin inhouse lead by our qualified engineers. You will be trained on basic installations, general maintenance and repair of equipment. You will then progress into college ran industry recognised training programs and qualifications.
We require an individual with a driving license, passion and enthusiasm for their work and flexibility with working hours to suit the needs of the position.
You will start on a wage of £13.71 per hour which will increase after 12 months to £14 per hour and then after 18 months £14.40 per hour.
You will be required to stay away during the week and work occasional weekends upon request or on a rota although this will be arranged prior with logistics.
You will undertake many courses which are paid for by the Company with a 2 year payback scheme if you leave us within this time. the courses include:-
Workplace First aid (online course)
Asbestos Awareness (online course)
Manual Handling Awareness (online course)
Portable Appliance Testing (online course)
Forklift truck training (on site training)
Tail lift Operation and Risk Assessment (on site training)
Commercial Catering Equipment Electrical Competence (college based)
18th Edition Electrical full (college based)
Opportunity to undergo Commercial Gas Training (college and practical based)
You will be required to assist with the smooth running of the warehouse.
A customer focussed attitude is a must.
