Skea Egg Farms Ltd is a significant player in the agri-food sector supplying eggs to major retailers in Northern Ireland and mainland UK. We are currently offering the following position based at Skea:
LORRY DRIVER – Casual (Sat Cover)
Reporting to the Intake Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
POSITION PURPOSE:
To collect eggs from suppliers and deliver to the factory to ensure customer orders are fulfilled whilst also ensuring food safety, legality and quality
Duties:
· Collect eggs from egg suppliers and deliver to Skea Eggs. This includes the loading and unloading of lorries in a safe and efficient manner
· Adhere to health and safety, hygiene and quality procedures
· Liaise with appropriate departments to plan and organise schedules
· Ensure equipment is available for start-up each day and lorries and pallets are fit for purpose
· Accurately complete administrative tasks within agreed procedures and timescales to ensure quality standards and systems are maintained
· Comply with all company policies and procedures
· Contribute towards achieving and maintaining a positive working environment
· Promote good equal opportunities practice
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Previous lorry driving experience (Class 2);
CPC trained;
reliable & self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative;
flexibility regarding working hours
