£12.96 per hour PLUS £3.17 per hour Shift Allowance.
Andover Mind is one of the leading mental health providers in Hampshire. Our Safe Haven service supports those in mental health crisis in Basingstoke and mid Hampshire. The service is covered 7 evenings a week from 5.30pm to 10.30pm, 365 days a year and is currently based at our current wellbeing facility in Basingstoke.
We are looking to recruit amazing, committed professional staff to work alongside our established permanent team ensuring our service runs efficiently and maintains the level of care and support currently being provided by Andover Mind.
The role of Safe Haven Peer Practitioner is crucial to the success of our Safe Haven team. This is an opportunity to “give something back” in a positive way by using your own knowledge and experience of living with, and recovering from, mental illness.
Using your own personal experience in the appropriate way, you will help individuals manage their own illness, supporting, encouraging and inspiring them by offering hope within our safe space. You will help people to focus on achievable goals using a strengths based approach whilst remaining calm and professional in any stressful or challenging situation.
