Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Assist the head chef in preparing high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and team cohesion
- Oversee food production processes, maintaining consistency and presentation standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen operations
- Support in training new staff members and developing existing team skills
- Contribute to menu development by suggesting new dishes and culinary innovations
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen environment, including equipment and workstations
- Serve as a role model in delivering excellent hospitality service during busy periods
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
- Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation and cooking techniques
- Demonstrable team management abilities with leadership qualities to motivate staff
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of food production processes and service operations
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Passionate about culinary arts with a commitment to continuous learning and development
Pay: £24,809.48-£34,000.00 per year
