Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable HGV Class 2 Driver Labourer to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine skilled driving with hands-on labour tasks, ensuring the smooth delivery and installation of goods across various locations. As a vital part of our operations, you will be responsible for safely operating a Class 2 Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV), managing deliveries, and assisting with loading, unloading, and site setup. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle to transport goods to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo, ensuring items are handled carefully and securely
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to confirm it is in optimal condition before each journey
- Deliver goods accurately and on time, maintaining clear communication with dispatch teams regarding delivery statuses
- Assist with site labour tasks such as securing loads on flatbeds, setting up equipment, or preparing delivery sites for installation or collection
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle inspection records, and compliance documentation
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly in delivery roles involving flatbed trucks or similar vehicles
- Knowledge of safe loading techniques for flatbeds and general cargo handling skills
- Strong understanding of driving regulations and road safety standards for commercial vehicles
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and manoeuvring heavy items safely
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients
- Prior experience as a delivery driver or labourer in logistics is highly desirable

Pay: £12.82-£23.00 per hour
