GP Receptionist & Administrator
Evergreen Surgery – Evergreen Primary Care Centre, Edmonton
We are seeking a motivated and personable GP Receptionist & Administrator to join our growing and ambitious team at Evergreen Surgery, based in our modern healthcare facility at Evergreen Primary Care Centre in Edmonton.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who takes pride in delivering excellent patient care and wishes to contribute to a friendly, professional, and high-performing practice.
About the Role
As a key member of our Reception Team, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for patients and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week), working flexibly across our opening hours of 8:00am to 8:00pm, Monday to Sunday.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a warm, professional, and efficient service to patients and visitors, both face-to-face and over the telephone
- Receive, assist, and direct patients to the appropriate healthcare professional or service
- Manage appointment bookings, including telephone, online, and in-person requests
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including scanning and document processing
- Process prescription requests in line with practice protocols
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all patient interactions are correctly logged
- Support effective communication between patients, clinicians, and external healthcare providers
- Carry out general administrative duties to support the wider practice team
Systems & Tools
- Use of the EMIS clinical system (full training provided)
- Confident working within MS Windows and Microsoft Office 365
- Managing online patient enquiries via the practice website
