We are looking for an experienced Sewing Machinist / Seamstress to join our production team manufacturing high-quality sportswear garments.
The role involves sewing a range of sports kit including rugby jerseys, lightweight performance t-shirts, shorts, hoodies, and training wear. This is detailed, technical work requiring excellent sewing ability and strong attention to finish and garment construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating industrial sewing machines to produce sportswear garments
- Sewing and assembling rugby jerseys, training tops, shorts, hoodies, and related apparel
- Constructing collars and completing intricate garment detailing
- Working with stretch and technical performance fabrics
- Following production specifications and quality standards
- Maintaining consistency, accuracy, and high-quality finishing throughout production
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in garment manufacturing or sportswear production
- Confident operating industrial sewing machines including Jack and Brother machines
- Experience sewing technical garments and working with performance fabrics
- Ability to construct collars and complete detailed sewing work to a high standard
- Strong attention to detail and garment quality
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team
Preferred Experience
Experience with any of the following is advantageous:
- Overlock machines
- Coverstitch machines
- Flatlock machines
- Sportswear or teamwear manufacturing
