North East Concrete Ltd are currently recruiting for Class 2 drivers to drive and operate our concrete and mortar mixers.
The ideal candidate preference to have a Class 2 HGV licence with at least 2 years but not essential as training will be provided , Experience of concrete or mortar mixers would be an advantage.
The job involves the checking and loading of the vehicle, deliveries to sites and pouring of concrete or mortar.
Candidates need to be able to take clear instructions from our office, complete delivery tickets on site and occasionally take cash payments.
An enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn and be part of a team are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
- Plan routes and ensure timely delivery of goods
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety protocols.
Experience:
- HGV Class 2 Licence
- Up to date driver CPC
- Minimum 2 years proven experience as a truck driver, preferred but not essential
- Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet delivery deadlines
Schedule:
- 40 hours per week, being available to do overtime as and when required.
