Overview
An exciting opportunity has come up to join our team as a Receptionist. We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join us on a full time permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for visitors, telephone callers and employees at Botany Bay Business Park and support the smooth day-to-day running of the site.
This role is office based in Chorley and is for Monday to Friday to work between 8:30am to 17:30pm, 37.5 hours per week.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet visitors warmly and professionally, and maintain a tidy, welcoming reception area, including the drink station, milk stock and bottled water/refreshment supplies
- Manage the full visitor journey - adding visitors to the calendar, issuing badges, sign-in and refreshments
- Answer, filter and forward incoming calls; monitor and respond to the reception inbox
- Handle internal and external correspondence, including incoming and outgoing mail
- Provide admin support - scanning, binding and laminating - maintain the stationery cupboard and printers
- Order and stock kitchen and cleaning supplies; manage the cleaning cupboard and empty the dishwasher
- Coordinate travel and bookings, including trains, hotels, helicopter charters and meeting rooms
- Provide PA support for meetings and coordinate company events with the Events Team
- Order working lunches and liaise with outside caterers
- Research, book and run Foodie Fridays, including related communications with charity partners
- Update and maintain the company telephone list
- Maintain SharePoint content and manage new starter onboarding, including SharePoint setup and the monthly welcome email
- Carry out other reasonable requests from the Management Team
Experience & Knowledge Required
- Prior experience on a reception desk
- Familiarity with office procedures and basic administrative tasks
- Confident using office equipment, including printers, scanners and telephone systems
- Able to manage multiple tasks professionally
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and customer relationship tools, e.g. HubSpot
- Good understanding of professional etiquette and awareness of company structure, services and key personnel
