Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter / Kitchen Assistant to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will assist with various kitchen duties mostly centred around dishwashing, ensuring a clean and efficient workspace, and supporting our culinary staff in delivering exceptional food and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Kitchen Cleaning and Sanitation
- Ensure all kitchen areas, including floors, walls, equipment, and surfaces, are kept spotless and sanitized.
- Regularly clean and maintain the dishwasher and other kitchen equipment to operational standards.
- Deep-clean specific areas or items when required.
- Dishwashing and Utensil Management
- Operate dishwashers to clean plates, cutlery, glassware, and cooking equipment.
- Hand-wash delicate or heavy items as needed.
- Organise and store clean dishes and equipment systematically.
- Health and Safety Compliance
- Follow all food safety regulations and The Wildcard’s internal hygiene policies.
- Wear appropriate protective gear and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly to the management team.
Pay: £10.85-£13.00 per hour
Experience:
- Kitchen : 1 year (preferred)
- Hospitality: 1 year (required)
