Help Shape Southampton's Newest Family Destination
Wacky Kingdom is opening its brand-new family entertainment venue in Westquay Leisure, Southampton, and we're looking for an enthusiastic, organised and hands-on Operations Supervisor to help deliver an exceptional experience for every family that visits.
This is a key leadership role supporting the Site Manager with the daily operation of the venue. You'll oversee the play areas, health and safety, customer experience, birthday parties and operational standards while leading the team to ensure every visit is safe, fun and memorable.

What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the venue.
- Leading and supervising the operations team during shifts.
- Ensuring all play equipment is safe, clean and fully operational.
- Carrying out daily opening, operational and closing safety inspections.
- Completing and maintaining health & safety records and compliance checks.
- Leading accident and incident reporting, investigations and follow-up actions.
- Ensuring cleaning schedules and hygiene standards are consistently met.
- Supervising birthday parties and ensuring an exceptional guest experience.
- Responding confidently to customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally.
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members.
- Coaching and motivating staff to deliver excellent service.
- Monitoring staffing levels and supporting efficient shift operations.
- Reporting maintenance issues and liaising with contractors where required.
- Supporting emergency procedures, evacuations and first aid incidents when required.
- Helping maintain a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for children and families.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an organised leader who enjoys being on the floor, supporting their team and maintaining the highest operational standards.
Essential
- Minimum 1* year experience* in leisure, hospitality, visitor attractions or a customer-facing supervisory role.
- Previous experience supervising or leading a team.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- A proactive, hands-on approach to leadership.
- Confidence working in a fast-paced environment.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety.
- Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.
- Flexible to work weekends, evenings, bank holidays and school holidays.
Desirable
- Experience working in a soft play centre, trampoline park, family entertainment centre or children's attraction.
- IOSH Working Safely or IOSH Managing Safely.
- NEBOSH (or willingness to work towards it).
- Health & Safety qualification.
- Paediatric First Aid qualification.
- Fire Marshal training.
- Experience carrying out risk assessments.
- Experience investigating accidents and near misses.
- Experience managing customer complaints.
- Knowledge of operational compliance and inspection procedures.
