Location: Selby Leisure & Wellbeing Hub
Hours: Mondays, 12:30pm – 2:00pm (excluding bank holidays)

Are you friendly, reliable and looking for a rewarding way to support others? We are seeking a volunteer to assist with our Cardiac Rehabilitation Exercise Class at Selby Leisure & Wellbeing Hub. This is a fantastic opportunity to support local residents recovering from cardiac events while gaining valuable experience within a health and wellbeing setting.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Help ensure the class runs smoothly and to schedule.
- Call out exercise and recovery intervals during sessions.
- Support the instructor in maintaining the flow and structure of activities.
- Welcome participants and help create a positive and supportive atmosphere.
- Assist with basic setup and tidying away of equipment.
- Raise any concerns or issues with the instructor as appropriate.
What We’re Looking For
- Friendly, approachable and supportive.
- Reliable, punctual and organised.
- Comfortable speaking to groups of people.
- A clear and confident communicator.
- Interested in supporting health and wellbeing in your local community.
- No previous experience is required.

Training and Support
Full training and guidance will be provided before you begin, along with ongoing support from the Cardiac Rehabilitation Team.
