Business Development Manager

Salary up to £42,000 + bonus + car allowance
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to generate and develop loan opportunities for small businesses through a strong intermediary and referral network.
This role combines relationship-led business development with hands-on involvement in loan origination, assessment, and ongoing client management.
The Role

Build and grow referral relationships with banks, brokers, accountants, and business advisers

Generate and qualify new loan enquiries

Meet prospective borrowers to assess funding requirements

Prepare loan applications for credit approval

Support portfolio management, including monitoring and recoveries where required

Promote the organisation at networking events, conferences, and industry meetings

Contribute to business growth targets and strategic initiatives
About You-
Proven experience in business development, lending, or financial services

Strong relationship-building and communication skills

Comfortable assessing SME funding needs and financial information

Self-motivated, organised, and target-driven

Willing to travel and attend external events
