As a Senior SAP Security Engineer, you’ll set technical direction, influence security strategy and strengthen the controls protecting our critical SAP platforms. You’ll also bring broader IT security and security architecture experience, ensuring SAP security aligns with enterprise-wide principles, standards and controls.
Acting as a trusted authority and advocate for SAP security, you’ll work closely with Architecture, Cyber Security, Infrastructure, Risk, Audit and Engineering teams. The role will ensure our SAP security approach aligns with organisational standards, regulatory requirements and Nationwide’s broader cyber security strategy.
You’ll play a central role in shaping the future of SAP security at Nationwide. You’ll develop security roadmaps, strengthen access governance and risk management, and champion modern approaches to vulnerability management, patching, monitoring and automation.
As part of a growing technology organisation, you’ll lead the continued evolution of SAP security, controls and access governance across our critical platforms. You’ll have the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide security decisions, shape the future SAP security roadmap, develop high-performing teams and drive continuous improvement, automation and standardisation across SAP security processes.

For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our Swindon, Bournemouth, Northampton or London office.
If your application is successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this works. You can also find out more about our approach to hybrid working here .
If we receive a high volume of relevant applications, we may close the advert earlier than the advertised date, so please apply as soon as you can.
