Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cafe Assistant/Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of drinks and desserts, ensuring excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of food safety.
Responsibilities
- Prepare iced drinks/ hot drinks to the exact measurements consistently.
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide exceptional service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, and cleaning the entire cafe at the end of every close.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
- Manage cash register operations accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality.
Experience
- Previous cafe/hospitality experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Knowledge of food safety procedures is desirable to uphold hygiene standards.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
- Basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately.
- Fluency in english is necessary
