About the Role
The Beeches Hotel is seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven professional to take full ownership of kitchen operations, menu development, and team leadership within a well-established hotel environment.
As Head Chef, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service, while ensuring efficiency, compliance, and profitability across all kitchen activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and manage the kitchen team to deliver consistently high standards
- Develop and update menus in line with seasonal produce and business needs
- Oversee all food preparation, cooking and presentation to ensure excellence
- Manage staffing levels, rotas, training and ongoing development of the team
- Maintain strict food hygiene, health & safety, and allergen compliance
- Control food costs, portioning and minimise waste to achieve budget targets
- Conduct stock takes and manage ordering of kitchen supplies
- Ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations during all service periods
- Liaise with Front of House and management to deliver exceptional guest experiences
- Handle guest feedback professionally and drive continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef ready to step up
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent knowledge of kitchen operations, food production and cost control
- High standards of food hygiene and safety awareness
- Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A proactive, reliable and flexible approach with a passion for quality
