As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Finance Apprentice to join our Finance Team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience whilst completing a nationally recognised Level 3 Business Administration qualification.
Role Overview
The Finance Apprentice will provide administrative support to the Finance Team, assisting with a range of financial and business processes. The successful candidate will develop key business administration skills while gaining insight into finance operations within a fast-paced healthcare environment.
This role is ideal for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and eager to build a career in business administration or finance.
The role will also provide exposure to managing and maintaining large volumes of financial and operational data. You'll develop valuable skills in data validation, data quality management and reporting, helping to ensure information across our systems is accurate, complete and reliable.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Finance Team.
- Process and maintain financial records in accordance with company procedures.
- Assist with invoice processing, filing, and document management.
- Support the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper-based records.
- Support data cleansing activities by identifying and correcting inaccuracies, duplicate records and missing information.
- Assist with maintaining data quality across finance systems, ensuring records are accurate, complete and up to date.
- Support projects involving large volumes of financial and operational data, using spreadsheets and business systems to organise and validate information.
- Respond to internal and external enquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Assist with data entry and ensure financial information is accurately recorded.
- Support monthly reporting activities and reconciliation processes.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and spreadsheets as required.
- Schedule meetings and maintain departmental calendars when needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, data protection requirements, and confidentiality standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Finance Team.
- Complete all apprenticeship coursework, assignments, and training requirements within agreed timescales.

Skills and Experience
Essential
- GCSEs (or predicted grades) in English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Desirable
- An interest in finance, accounting, or business administration.
- Previous experience in an office, customer service, or administrative environment (including work experience or voluntary work).
- Experience using Microsoft Excel.
