Responsibilities
- Handle materials efficiently using appropriate techniques and equipment, including forklifts when certified.
- Assist in loading and unloading shipments safely, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, update stock records, and process orders accurately.
- Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipment with attention to detail and quality control standards.
- Stock shelves and organize storage areas to maximize space and accessibility.
- Conduct regular inspections of stock for damage or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
- Support shipping & receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential; a strong willingness to learn is valued.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of daily tasks.
- Mechanical knowledge or experience operating equipment such as forklifts (certification preferred).
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems or similar inventory software is advantageous.
- Knowledge of materials handling procedures, quality control processes, and safety protocols.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail during picking & packing activities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
